Tai Chi
Tai Chi is meditation in motion, and an enhancement of body awareness and over-all well-being.
These exercises combine deep breathing, relaxation, and slow, gentle, structured movements. The slow movements of Tai Chi are therapeutic and promote proper flow of energy. Scientific evidence shows that practitioners show improvements in self-esteem, self-confidence, sleep, and mental health as the result of participating in a Tai Chi program.
Tai Chi’s slow rhythmic movements calm the mind, while the body is gently stimulated. It is a great workout! There is no impact, and you should never get out of breath. However, it will work a wide range of muscles, enhancing your flexibility and strength.
